Jeremy Jones
Jeremy Jones
Few pros have had a bigger influence on urban riding or backed up their talk with video proof quite like Jeremy Jones. A member of the original Forum Eight with banger parts in every Mack Dawg movie from Decade to Double Decade, Jeremy’s technical skills and all-terrain prowess have redefined freestyle for a new generation. Jeremy got his first photo published in a 1996 issue of Snowboarder, and dropped a part in Mack Dawg and Kingpin Productions' 1997 movies. The rest is legendary. From Snowboarder and Transworld covers to classic appearances in the first Forum team movies, to his 2003 switch to Burton, he’s never slowed down. Even with his status as a movie-part master secured and a family at home in Utah, Jeremy is nowhere near finished. While other careers have faded, he’s still stacking up respect through shots and footage, including a part in Burton's latest film, 13. - Burton Team Rider Profile Excerpt – burton.com

Jeremy Jones' Top 5 Tips for a 2-Wheel Moto Trip July 7st, 2014

Pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones may be best known for his revolutionary freestyle snowboarding and jibbing, but we’re here to tell you that the Utah native leads a double life… When the snow melts and the open road beckons, Jeremy and his Bolts Action motorbike crew gear up and lay tracks of the asphalt kind.

We caught Jeremy as he was prepping for an upcoming trip to Jackson Hole and decided we had to know his top 5 tips for making sure a 2-wheel moto trip would be a roaring success. If you thought you knew everything about Jeremy Jones, think again…

TIP #1: MY BIKE.

It's obvious you need one for a 2-wheel Moto trip, I know. However, it’s easy to take reliability for granted, but when everything is runnin' smooth you’re just enjoying the moment. This bike treats me right and has never let me down. No matter our battles she always pushes through it with me.

TIP #2: MIZU’S.

I always pack 2. I have my ‘Spare Gas Mizu’ and my ‘Water Mizu’. Always. I have been running the gas Mizu for 5 years now: baby is Bolts!

TIP #3: A SOLID KNIFE

For the mountain/camp/utility stuff. I prefer my Scando ground bush craft knife (if bringing only one), however my hand-made "snowboarder zombie" knife is an all time favorite as well as a conversational piece. Also a small, but solid, survival/fire kit which includes fire steel, magnesium powder, Paracord bracelet, mini first-aid, fishing line, headlamp and compass vial.

TIP #4: UNDERWEAR.

I like a clean pair every day, camping or not. I like my scene dialed and clean.

TIP #5: PEOPLE.

Although solo missions have a lot of merit and are necessary for a human’s soul at times, a good crew is essential for a fun mission. You need people you can trust for when crap goes sideways as well as to bring the fun and good vibes wherever they go and in any situation. In fact, I believe this to be #1 in making and breaking trips!

Safe adventuring however and wherever it takes you!
